Saturday 29th March 2014 was 13th Sabbath and what a day it was! For those of you who don’t know what 13th Sabbath is, it is a celebration that occurs at the end of each quarter of the year where the children are given the opportunity to put together a programme allowing them to show their parents and all of the other members of the church what they have been learning in Sabbath School that quarter.

The children were absolutely amazing, they did so well reciting memory verses, singing and telling the church all about what they had been learning. As well as this all registered children were awarded quarterlies and some children also received special prizes for exceptional achievement. The Children’s Ministries Leader, Craige Young also informed the church that there are now over 60 children registered and encouraged members to continue to support the department in whatever way they can. Special thanks went to all of the teachers as without their hard work, none of this would be possible. The service ended with a special prayer and the launch of the first Parenting Christian Kids Newsletter,  a joint initiative with the Brixton SDA Family Life Department. This is a monthly newsletter that will be sent to all registered parents.
