This week’s Bible Art challenge is based on Joshua chapter 1 to chapter 7. Your task is to read a chapter each day and draw pictures of any part of the story whether is Rahab hiding the spies, or letting down the red strings from the window to the Battle of Jericho (the story we covered on Brixkidz Live.) We look forward to seeing your drawings
Below is a summary of the chapters but do read the the story in full.
Josh 1: The LORD told Joshua to arise, cross into the land, be strong and courageous – So Joshua told the his men to prepare provisions.
Josh 2: Joshua sent two spies to Jericho. A sinful woman called Rahab hid them, so they promised to spare her family. They brought back a reported to Joshua.
Josh 3: The Israelites camped by the Jordan. When the priests carrying the ark reached the river it stopped and parted, and they were able to cross on dry ground.
Josh 4: The LORD told Joshua to set up memorial stones from the Jordan. When the priests brought the ark up to the bank the waters returned.
Josh 5: The LORD told Joshua to circumcise the men. They called the place Gilgal. Joshua met the commander of the LORD’s army and bowed down.
Josh 6: The LORD said that the army should march around Jericho once each day. On the seventh day, they should march around seven times and then shouted and the walls fell. They destroyed the city.
Josh 7: Achan took some banned items. When the army went against Ai they were defeated. The LORD identified Achan and the people stoned him.
